Daily report, from Marine :

Thursday, February 4th – Report by Marine Chefdeville

Today we left the hotel at around 8:30 (a little bit late…) to reach Bishops’ High School for the second time. We attended classes following our sections : sciences for the S, art and literature for the L and business for the ES students. Our buddies of the first day were not always in the form we stayed with, so some of us unfortunately couldn’t see them. In Science, we sit in on classes of Physics, Chemistry, and Biologie, which was especially interesting. In Buziness, we had a very living economic class. And the Art students talked with us about the books they read for their graduation : Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar, Beril Gilroy’s Frangipani House and several poems from Guyanese poets. We also had Spanish class, and at least we tought a french song to some students. At 3pm we finally left the school and get back to the hotel to have a rest and workout. The teachers and Jean-Philippe went to a presentation of Guyanese poetry in Georgetown, « The Gentlemen Doing Poetry ». They went to the Moray House and saw poets as Captain Marshall and Francis Quamina Farrier reading their work, and it seemed pretty interesting ! After this great day we decided to order food in a fast-food not that far from the hotel.
